Originally drawn by hand using a black gel pen and a green fiber-tip marker, this pattern began on the back of discarded geography lesson maps. The raw, tactile precision of the hand-drawn ink transfered to the fabric, carries the meditative focus of its creation into a wearable format.
Centered on strict radial symmetry, the concentric ripples warp perspective to create a deep tunnel effect. The lines draw the eye inward, creating a powerful three-dimensional illusion on a flat surface.
The design operates on a continuous visual tension. While the segmented pillars extend outward, the curved lines pull sharply back in. This opposing geometry creates a kinetic vibration, giving the static print the illusion of expanding and breathing as it moves with the body.
